The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is a leadership development program dedicated to training qualified young Americans to serve as military officers in the United States ’ armed forces after graduation from college.  The Air Force, the Army, and the Navy sponsor ROTC programs on college campuses across the nation.  What follows is information from their official websites:

Air Force ROTC                             
Air Force ROTC is a college program offered at over 1,000 colleges and universities across the U.S. that prepares you to become an Air Force officer.  It’s a challenge. It’s an opportunity. It’s a head-start on a lifetime of success, within the Air Force and in everything you choose to do.

Army ROTC                            
Army ROTC is one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of your college curriculum. During classes and field training, you will learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as an Officer in the Army. Upon graduation from Army ROTC, you will earn the bar of a Second Lieutenant and become a leader for life.

Naval ROTC                        
Naval ROTC trains qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve. The NROTC Scholarship Program fills a vital need in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.
